Public invited to attend լƵ State University’s Centennial Exhibit grand opening on April 21

MURRAY, Ky. — The public is invited to attend the opening celebration for լƵ State University’s Centennial Exhibit in Wrather Museum located on the University’s campus on Thursday, April 21. The event will take place from 4 – 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Light refreshments will be served following the keynote address. The program will include remarks from Dean Cris Ferguson, Dean of University Libraries, Dr. Bob Jackson, President of լƵ State University and Dr. Jeff McLaughlin, Director of Special Collections and Archives for University Libraries. The keynote speaker is Dr. Melvin Henley, a լƵ State University alumnus and retired faculty member. Henley will share his unique perspective on the years he has spent with լƵ State University.
The exhibit has been curated by լƵ State University’s Special Collections and Archives team and showcases milestones in the 100-year history of the institution.
“We look forward to revealing this Centennial exhibit to the public in celebration of լƵ State’s 100th year anniversary,” said Dean Ferguson. “This institution has a rich history and it is a wonderful time to pause and reflect on the vision of our founders.”
The event is hosted by University Libraries and the Office of Development, and is sponsored by լƵ State University Town and Gown.
Members of the University administration will be in attendance as well.
